End of the school year party and cookout
On Friday, May 22 we will celebrate the end of the school year. Starting at 6:00, pizza and sodas will be served at the pool. Please bring an item to share, boys bring something salty and girls bring something sweet. The non-students cost is only 2 dollars per person. We also will play some bingo and give out some prizes. Let’s get together and celebrate all the hard work our children have done this school year.
On Sunday, May 24 we will be celebrating Memorial Day and our Membership Drive. Everyone is welcome. PBRA will have the food ready by 2:00. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and sodas will be provided. We do ask each family coming to bring a dish to share. Families with their last name starting with A thru M please bring a side dish and families with their last name starting with N thru Z please bring a dessert to share. This will be a wonderful day with plenty of games, contests, prizes, good friends, new friends and memories. We hope to see you all out there. This will kick off the start of a wonderful fun filled summer.

The Piedmont Bend Barracuda Swim Team Wants You to Come and Join the Fun in the Sun !
The Best Way to build swimming skills and endurance is to join the Barracudas Summer Swim Team that makes learning and building skills an exciting and memorable summer experience.
The Piedmont Bend Barracudas are known for having a team each summer that becomes a great social group that includes all it’s swimmers with great summer fun activities during the swimming season.
We take swimmers from age 4 thru 18 years. 5 years through 18 can participate in our 5 meets through the month of June. For those of you with young and/or inexperienced swimmers we are a team known for providing specialized instruction for each age group and developmental level. For the experienced swimmer we offer challenging instruction to build your skills on stroke development and improving your time. We ask that during the after school practices starting May 11th that you come by for assessment if you have any concerns.
Our Pool is Located at 1851 Chondra Drive Marietta, GA 30062 in the Piedmont Bend Subdivision.
When And How to Register:
We will be at our pool from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, April 30th.
Saturday, May 2nd @ 10:00 till 2:00 for Early Registration and Swim Suit Sizing.
Come and See us and ask questions, register :). If you bring a friend to register for early registration you get a prize from our spirit wear treasure chest and $ 5.00 off registration.
You can mail in registration and download registration here well request a copy from Jane Hart, hart3747@bellsouth.net, as well as a daily news feed on Barracuda news starting April 27th. We will take registrations thru May 26th.
We accept Piedmont Bend Pool Members as well as Non-member swimmers as well. A small pool usage fee is added for Non members to help our pool provide the best and safest environment for our swimmers.
Our Coaching Staff is excellent and well- qualified to work with swimmers in each age and developmental level. We work one on one in the water with those little Barracudas Jess Valle and Kyle Phillip’s are our returning head co coaches with expertise as well from some great assistant coaches that provide special stroke clinics and and practice one on one time if needed for a swimmer.
Our Season Is May 11th through the last week of June.
We have after school practices the last 2 weeks of The Cobb County School Schedule.
Our meets are on Thursday Nights, starting May 28th , all thru June.
Morning Practice run Monday thru Friday , once school is out , starting Tuesday May 26th.
All Specific age practice times will be posted the week of May 3rd.
A Parent Meeting to go over all Specific information will be May 12th @ 6:30 pm at the Pool.

Annual Board Meeting
Last night we held our Annual Board Meeting. Some of the items discussed are as follows:
- New President was elected — Cliff Pepper — CPEPPER@CAMPBELLSTONE.ORG
- New Treasurer was elected — John Luckett — JOHN.LUCKETT@SIMPSONHOUSING.COM
- Mickey Mellen has taken over the care of the card access system
- Finances were cleared and presented to the new president
- The By-Laws were changed to compensate the President and Treasurer and will read as follows:
The President and Treasurer will receive free Membership. The Membership director will receive free Membership if the quota of 100 Members is met. To receive these discounts you must serve at least 2 years on the Board, and will receive the discounts during that time. If at any time the Members have found you negligent in you duties the dues will be paid in full at that time. This will coincide with the Laws under Article V Section 3. All other Board Members will receive the discounts set fourth under Article V Section 4.
