If you plan on hosting a party at the pool this summer, we’ve posted some information that should help.
Electronics Recycling on March 29th from 8:00 to 4:00 at Simpson – FREE
Mark this date and tell your friends and neighbors. On Saturday, March 29, Simpson Middle School Environmental Committee will sponsor an electronics recalling day. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE TO YOU TO RECYCLE YOUR ITEMS!
A complete list (and there are A LOT) of items that are accepted is now posted on the Environmental Committee Blog which is called Earth’s Eagles at the Simpson web site. Please take time to look at that massive list. There may be things there that you did not know were accepted!
Anything electric, from a refrigerator to a television, from a washing machine to a computer can be recycled. If you need something picked up, the company that is doing this for us can pick up your item, free of charge. Please help us to help our environment and to reduce the clutter in your house.
This will be held in the parking lot of Simpson Middle School from 8:00-4:00!

Easter Egg Hunt Rescheduled
Pool and Grounds Clean-up
Once again it’s time to grab your hammers, shovels, paint brushes and work gloves and head on down to the pool. This year’s pool and grounds clean up day is fast approaching and we have a laundry list of items that need to be addressed.
For example, we will be replacing some of the boards on the sun deck, painting, cutting back the hedges, pulling dead juniper roots, spreading pine straw and wood chips, fixing/replacing loose or broken boards on the viewing tennis stands, and preparing flower beds. The diving board is going to be fixed, and we will be getting a new lifeguard stand.
Clean up day is planned for Saturday, April 26th with the rain date May 3rd. Pool Opening is May 5th, so we want everything finished before then.
Remember, if you show up for Clean up day and spend at least two hours, you get a $25 rebate on your membership dues. Piedmont Bend is our neighborhood, we want it to look nice, attract new members…so please, plan on showing your support and help out.

Vice President
