A great time was had by all at the 2010 Piedmont Bend Memorial Day party. Check out the video and pictures below!

Spring Clean-Up Day Reminder
A reminder that our Spring Clean Up day is this Saturday, May 1, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Please join us if you are able! If you can bring gloves, some basic tools (hammers, rakes, etc.). We are also in dire need of a chainsaw for the day and a couple people willing to bring lawn mowers.
Also, remember that dues must be paid by June 15 to avoid the $25 late fee. Your dues are needed as soon as possible as our pool season expenses have already begun!
Lastly, we still need volunteers to serve on the following Board committees:
- Social (event planning)
- Property and Grounds
- Risk Management – insurance, investments, etc.
- Home Owners Association research group
- Swim Team
Thanks,
Cliff

Thanks for your help at the fall clean-up
Special thanks are extended to everyone who participated in the Fall Cleanup day at the pool and tennis courts this past weekend. The grounds and facilities look great! My appreciation to Marty Schnurr for his coordination and leadership with the cleanup process!
If you have been by the pool this week, you probably noticed that there is a HUGE pile of lawn debris in the parking lot. A dumpster was delivered yesterday and we are renting a wood chipper this weekend to convert the HUGE pile to something that will fit in the dumpster (hopefully). If you are able to assist with the chipping and transferring of the debris, please join us beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 21. Many hands make light work!
Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving to our PBRA members!

Piedmont Bend Fall Cleanup Day
Just a reminder that our Fall Cleanup Day at the Pool and Tennis Courts is this Saturday, November 14, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Please join us, as able, to address our Fall project list.
We have most of the tools and supplies needed to address the various projects, however, we do need the following items:
· Shovel
· Tree trimmer
· Wheel barrow
· Hammer
· Small wood screws
· 2 chain saws
· Cordless drill
· Cordless screwdriver
· Step ladder
· 2 line trimmers (weed eaters)
· Extra extension cords if the chain saws and/or line trimmers are electric
Thank you in advance for your willingness to help and to give freely of your time. The improvements to the recreation area are important and will ultimately benefit all of us.
Thanks,
Cliff Pepper

Halloween Party, Fall Clean-Up Day, Waste Management
Although the pool season is now over, I do have some special news for our PBRA members:
HALLOWEEN PARTY – Saturday, October 31, 6:00pm
Join your neighbors for a fun Halloween celebration. The party will be held in the tennis court parking lot. Hot dogs and “fixins” will be provided. Please bring a dish, dessert or drink to share. Special thanks to Kelly Wilson for coordinating the party. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate a trailer for hayrides, please let me know!
FALL CLEAN-UP DAY – Saturday, November 14, 9:00am
Our annual Fall Clean-Up day for the pool and tennis courts will be Saturday, November 14, beginning at 9:00 a.m. (people can come later if needed). We have a very full project list this year, so I hope that you will be able to help. More details regarding this will soon follow.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Waste Management is the “preferred” waste hauler for Piedmont Bend residents. They are contractually obligated to provide all Piedmont Bend residents a monthly rate of $13.00. If you are currently using Waste Management, check your most recent bill to verify that they have continued with this rate. If you would like to begin service with WM, call 404-794-6707 and indicate you are a Piedmont Bend resident.
That’s all for now! Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
