We are beginning to collect names for the neighborhood graduation banner congratulating those students who are graduating from high school or college this year. If there is someone you would like to include on the banner, please send me their name and school they are graduating from to piedmontbendsocial@gmail.com.

The deadline for providing names is Saturday, April 23rd.

The cost of the banner will be split among the participating families. Once I get our total number of graduates, I will coordinate the banner and contact each family with their portion. Payment will be needed before the banner is sent to print.

The Piedmont Bend Barracudas are getting ready to begin practice. We wanted to pass along some general information regarding practice schedules, home meets and their year-end party. 

The first day of practice is Monday, May 17th. Practices are after school until the last day of school for Cobb County. 

After school practice schedule Monday, May 17th – Tuesday, May 25th:
4:00pm to 4:30pm  –   5 & 6 year olds
4:30pm to 5:15pm  –  7 – 10 year olds
5:15pm to 6:00om  –  11 & older

No practice on the weekends or May 26th – last day of school for Cobb County. 

Morning practices begin Thursday May 27th: 
8:30am to 9:15am –  7 – 10 year olds
9:15am to 9:45am  –  5 & 6 year olds
9:50am to 10:50am  –  11 & older

During practice, the pool is closed to non-swim team members. Please be out of the pool area during swim practice and allow for all swim team members to exit before entering. 

Swim Meets: 
This year there will be 3 home swim meets. For home meet nights, the pool will close at 4:00pm for set up and warmups. All meets begin at 6:00pm. 

Tuesday, June 8th –  Woodbine Station 
Tuesday, June 15th  –  Falcon Woods
Tuesday, June 29th  –  Woodbine Station 

Visitors to Piedmont Bend have been instructed that they cannot park on the pool side of Chondra Drive. The swim team will have signs posted on the pool/west side of Chondra Drive indicating NO PARKING. If families, who live on the west side of Chondra, would like to put signs out in their yards indicating NO PARKING during the meets, please feel free to do so. 

Year End Party:
On Wednesday, June 30^th the swim team will be hosting their year-end team party. The pool will be closed from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  

Anyone who has children that are interested in joining the swim team can go to https://pbbst.swimtopia.com/ for registration or more information.

July 4th Parade

The Parade will start at 10 am (We will start to Line up at 9:45 am) at
THE SECOND STOP SIGN KINRIDGE RD. & KINRIDGE TR. DECORATE YOUR CAR, TRUCK, BIKE, STROLLER, OR WAGON 1ST 2ND 3RD PLACE PRIZE WILL BE GIVEN FOR THE FOR BEST DECORATED PRIZES AWARDED

July 4th Barbeque

4th of July Festivities will begin at 2:00 pm and food will be served at 4:00 pm. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and chips will be provided by PBRA. We do ask for each family coming, to bring a homemade dish to share.

2019 Pool Work Party – Saturday, April 13th

This is just a reminder that we are having our clean up day Saturday, April 13th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. If you come and help for 2 hours you can take $25 off your dues. Just a reminder please don’t come at 2:00 pm we need everyone there NO later than noon.

IF IT RAINS THE WORK DAY WILL BE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 27TH. Watch your email and Facebook if we are having bad weather for notification if the work party is cancelled for April 13th.

We have a lot to get done to make the pool and tennis court areas look great! Below is a list of some of the big items that we MUST get done.

* Put out pine straw
* Clean bathrooms
* Clean the grills
* Re-hang all the wind screens in the BOTH tennis courts
* Use the weed trimmers on BOTH tennis courts and spray ALL the courts for weeds

We do need people to bring work gloves, rakes, ladders, weed trimmers, wheel barrels and any other tools needed to get these tasks done.

Important information regarding the 2019 season so everyone can plan accordingly.

• The 2019 pool season will begin on Saturday, May 4th.
• The last day the pool will be open will be Sunday, September 15th.
• The pool rates will remain the same – NO increase.
  • Swim & Tennis: $425
  • Swim: $375
  • Tennis: $225
  • Social: $100

Dues are to be Paid In full by Saturday, June 1st.  Any payments after June 1st will be considered late and must include the $25 late fee.
