Cobb County Police notified the PBRA Board of Directors that 2 burglaries occurred in our subdivision. Both break ins happened while the owners were not home during the day.
1) 08/11/14 Monday during the day on Kinridge Rd. Police notified around 8:15 pm
2) 08/08/14 Friday during the on Kinridge Trl. Police notified around 9:45 pm
Entry was made by forcing open a rear door. The suspect(s) targeted bedrooms and jewelry items. They took bedding to carry the stolen items along with taking safes with valuables. They took small electronic valuables also. They overlooked larger valuablesHere are some safety tips that they asked for me to pass on. The police will be zone patrolling as well. Call 911 if you see any suspicious activity.
- Lock doors and windows.
- Set alarm every time you leave.
- Post alarm signs and stickers.
- Keep garage doors closed and locked.
- Do not advertise on Social Media sites when you are away!
- Use outdoor lighting on a timer.
- Limit potential losses by using a safety deposit box.
- Store jewelry in other places other than the bedroom. Hide it.
- If someone knocks on your door DO NOT IGNORE THEM
- Yell through the door that you are not interested and that they need to leave
Kids home alone? Have a plan
- Call 911 and provide a description
- Ignoring them may result with your door getting kicked in!
