The annual Piedmont Bend Independence Day Party will be held Monday, July 4th. Please see the attached invitation for additional information. Or, should I say, please, please, please, see this invitation (PDF). If you are able to RSVP with a number in your party, that would be especially helpful for food planning purposes.
While that is certainly the most important news of note, a couple of additional bullet points for you all to be aware of…
- The Piedmont Bend Barracudas are off to a 3-1 start with one meet remaining. They will compete against East Cobb on Thursday, June 30, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Visit http://www.pbbst.com/volunteers/meet-5 for additional details about the upcoming meet. Come and show your support for our neighborhood team! Eat my bubbles!!!
- The pool will be closed for the Barracudas end-of-season party on Friday, July 1, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thank you for your understanding as we celebrate the accomplishments of the team and the individual swimmers!
- Piedmont Bend owns, and therefore paid for, two canopies/tents that we use for special events. They were last used at the pool on June 11 and have “gone missing” since then. If you know the whereabouts of the canopies, please let me know as soon as possible.
- For our tennis-loving members, you all know that the courts are in need of repair and resurfacing. The Board has allocated funds for addressing this need and the work will be done on Courts One and Two the week of July 25, weather permitting. Courts One and Two will be closed that week. Please adjust your tennis schedules accordingly.
